A TOWN CALLED LEWES

A Town Called Lewes

The Vampire’s Wife has officially moved their offices and showrooms to historic Lewes—the strangest town in England. We have moved into an old Sunday school on the river, with a bell-tower and dovecote, and I am so content here amongst so much happy industry—everyone toiling away on the most beautiful new collection.

Lewes is drenched in a dark and tortured history, where Protestant martyrs were burned at the stake and Mary Shelley dreamed of Frankenstein and pagan rituals still abound and there is Britain’s biggest bonfire, and the Bloomsbury Group did their thing and where Bill’s does the best fish finger sandwich. Lewes has become our spiritual home as The Vampire’s Wife advances into the future. Many thanks to all who have supported us! With so much love, Susie x
