THE VAMPIRE'S WIFE X GLOBE-TROTTER

‘I have owned and loved Globe-Trotter luggage for as long as I can remember, to carry a thing of such classic elegance and beauty is such a pleasure. A favourite of those that I have owned over the years is a suitcase given to me by one of my dearest friends, the legendary photographer, Dominique Issermann. One day some time ago, whilst I was staying with Dominique at her house in Paris and I was packing to leave for London, I found I had run out of space in my luggage - a problem that endures to this day! - and so, Dominique gave me a suitcase that had belonged to Leonard Cohen. Dominique and Leonard had been lovers and together for many years, and he had given the suitcase to her. I cherished and used that suitcase endlessly, and it meant so much to me for so many reasons, and then when I met my husband, Nick, I gave it to him. It was the first thing that I ever gave to Nick, and it felt symbolic. Nick in turn used the suitcase for many years until it was recently moved into the care of a museum archive.

It is for Nick that I have created The Black Collection for this Globe-Trotter collaboration. As a musician, Nick is eternally on tour, and loves to carry handsome luggage. The Wedding Collection is inspired by a most beautiful vanity case, a wedding gift from my Father to my Mother that she carried on her honeymoon. As a young girl I was entranced by this beautiful piece of luggage - it is one of my earliest style memories.

I hope you love and enjoy using these pieces as much as I did creating them.’
Susie Cave, Founder of The Vampire’s Wife

The Vampire’s Wife, the renowned fashion label helmed by designer Susie Cave, has announced an exclusive collaboration with British luxury luggage manufacturer Globe-Trotter. The limited edition collection, which works to frame Globe-Trotter’s approach to traditional craftsmanship and iconic design under The Vampire’s Wife’s romantic, dreamlike lens, marks a shared journey in reimagining the world of luxury travel.

The collection comprises an elegant selection of XL trunks, alongside cabin, carry-on, vanity and jewellery cases in both black and ivory. These colourways form two separate offerings; The Black Collection and The Wedding Collection, both of which feature interiors in black sparkle velvet and blood red respectively, alongside carefully-moulded leather trims, golden brass hardware and luggage tags featuring The Vampire’s Wife’s iconic bat motif. The collaboration, which ranges between £1,195 and £2,895, will be available on thevampireswife.com and globe-trotter.com, in addition to the latter’s retail stores in London, LA and Japan, as well as matchesfashion.com.

The partnership marks an exciting milestone for both brands, offering the fashion label the chance to move into previously-unexplored product categories, as well as tying the bow on a more personal and nostalgic journey for Founder, Susie Cave.
