AND THE PLOT THICKENS

The Johnstone sisters, my favourite children’s book illustrator’s and a major influence here at The Vampire’s Wife were the daughters of Doris Zinkeisen, who was an artist in her own right. Doris and her sister, Anna Zinkeisen were also ‘sister artists’ painting rather exquisite portraits. The painting above is Doris Zinkeisen’s portrait of her daughters, Janet and Anne. The Johnstone sisters were one of the very first Stuff Posts four years and over four hundred posts ago. And so it goes. Thank you, Deborah, for your detective work. Love, Susie x
