Dominique Issermann – the most mystical and tender eye

Dominique has worked with Susie for many years and taken the most beautiful and iconic pictures of her in existence.

She took the extraordinary photo for Nick Cave’s Push The Sky Away album, but we all agree here at The Vampire’s Wife that her most transcendent shot of Susie was called Susie In The Mirror. No set-up, in natural light, curlers still in her hair – a momentary but eternal glance into the mirror.
