HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET
I heard this gorgeous song from Handel’s Messiah at a friend’s funeral last week. How Beautiful Are The Feet was sung with such dignity by Maria Ladurner. A solemn, measured, blissful sound that made for a spinechilling and time-suspended moment. I went home and listened to the song many times. The few, circling words so perfectly poignant for the ceremony. I found a lovely version from a twelve year old boy soprano Aksel Rykkvin. A thing of rare beauty. Love to you all, Susie x

How Beautiful are the Feet
How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace,
How beautiful are the feet,
How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace.
How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings,
and bring glad tidings,
Glad tidings of good things,
and bring glad tidings,
Glad tidings of good things,
and bring glad tidings,
Glad tidings of good things!
Glad tidings of good things!
